Cape Ballet Africa is a South African ballet company founded in March 2024 by Debbie Turner, who had previously led Cape Town City Ballet. It states its aim as reimagining how ballet can look in Africa, holding to classical discipline while carrying South African heritage. Its inaugural season, SALT, was a sold-out triple bill of new South African choreography at the Baxter. The company fields around fifty dancers, and in August 2026 stages Swan Lake at the Teatro, Montecasino, with choreography by Elena Glurjidze and designs by Marcel Meyer and Michael Mitchell.
